Nuestra Historia
A patio built like a love letter to Mexico
Founder Benjamin Torralva learned to cook at his mother's side when he was just six years old. In 2017 he poured that lifetime of family recipes into a hidden courtyard on Olive Avenue — the former Meze Grill space — and called it El Patio.
From the street it looks small. Step through the colorful flags and the whole place opens into a shaded patio strung with papel picado, draped in serapes, and alive with Día de los Muertos art. A successful local entrepreneur behind Passions Boutiques and Jalisco Jewelers, Torralva designs every detail himself — he calls El Patio his "Mona Lisa."
"This restaurant is my Mona Lisa. I've poured my heart and soul into every corner of it."
— Benjamin Torralva, Founder
